Cami Meyer

Cami has been working in higher education for over 25 years and with the College of Health Professions since 2009. Prior to that, she was the Associate Director of Transfer Students at the College of Charleston. Cami’s received her undergraduate degree from Northwood University in Midland, MI, and has her master’s degree in education from the Citadel. Her passion is focused on student-centered activities and making sure all students feel welcome, engaged, and appreciated while they are with us at MUSC. Originally from Michigan, Cami decided to move to Charleston in 1996 in search of some sunshine in her life and feels it was the best decision ever!

Phillip Griggs

Phillip is the Associate Director of Student Diversity and Community Outreach in the Office of Student Life and Recruitment and has been with the College of Health Professions since 2018. He graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor’s degree in communication and earned a master’s degree in management & leadership from Webster University. Phillip is an experienced student support services practitioner with over 10 years of experience working with students and families in K-12 schools, nonprofit organizations, and in higher education. He is passionate about education and creating holistic support systems to ensure students can focus on learning and achieving their goals.

Aroo Sonekar

Aroo has been part of the College of Health Professions (CHP) since October of 2015, and in her current role since July of 2017. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and has lived in Charleston since 2009. Here at CHP, she is an MUSC Safe Zone Ally, a recruiter for the college with a focus on our bachelor’s program, all of our residential programs (AFN, CVP, DPT, OTD, MHA residential track, PAS and SLP), and she is co-advisor of the CHP student ambassador program. Aroo travels all over SC, NC, GA, and FL to promote and recruit for our programs. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been working from home, hosting a substantial number of virtual information sessions via Zoom. Other than work, she enjoys traveling, LOVES Wonder Woman, and her newest hobby (discovered during this pandemic) cycling downtown!

Edie has worked in the College of Health Professions since 2018 but has been in higher education for 14 years. Throughout her years in higher education, she has had the opportunity to work with a variety of people, offices, and of course, students. She has worked with undergraduate and graduate students in both residential and online settings, providing varying levels of academic, technical, and emotional support. She double majored in psychology and religion at Gardner-Webb University and has a master’s degree in Adult Education from Indiana University Bloomington. Working with, advising, and supporting students has been a long-time passion of hers. In her free time, Edie enjoys photography, audiobooks, her dogs, and traveling.
