A Pathway to an Accelerated Master in Health Administration Degree

Students in the online Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies (HCS) program have the opportunity to save time and money by choosing the Accelerated Executive Master in Health Administration (A-EMHA) pathway. This new pathway allows eligible students to fulfill their bachelor’s degree requirements while completing several graduate-level courses. These graduate-level courses are waived in their A-EMHA.

Students accepted into the A-EMHA program can complete both a Bachelor of Science and an MHA online, consecutively, with no gaps. Both degrees are finished in just three years (eight semesters) with a cost savings of more than $17,000 and one year’s time savings.

Get on the Fast Track

After completing their first semester in the HCS program, eligible students will have the opportunity to register for five graduate-level courses. These courses, taken over the next three semesters, include; US Health Systems, Epidemiology, Research Methods and Statistics, Leadership and Practicum.

During the final semester of the HCS program, students that have met the minimum requirements outlined below will be eligible to apply for the A-EMHA. Upon graduating from the HCS program, students accepted into the A-EMHA will begin their master’s degree the following semester.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a student in the HCS program.
  • Maintain an overall GPA of 3.5 or greater.
  • Receive a 4.0 in the graduate-level courses for Epidemiology and Research Methods & Statistics.
  • Have one year of work experience in health care.
  • Complete prerequisite courses in Accounting and Statistics. These courses should be taken prior to enrollment in the HCS program and can be taken at a community college.
  • Provide three letters of reference with the application for the EMHA program.

About the Accelerated EMHA

The A-EMHA is a condensed version of our nationally-ranked Executive Master in Health Administration program, exclusively available to BS in Healthcare Studies graduates that have met the eligibility requirements listed above.
