College of Health Professions

Compassion Through Research & Innovation

How can we advance health care? At the Medical University of South Carolina’s largest and most diverse college, we routinely examine our role and purpose within the world. We find our answer at the source—research. Ideas from our distinguished team impact the therapies patients receive and form the foundation of our academic programs. We train our students not just to do and deliver but to lead through compassionate, responsive care that ultimately uplifts their communities.

We also acknowledge that collaboration fosters more dynamic solutions. In turn, we cultivate partnerships across MUSC’s colleges and with MUSC Health to push the boundaries of what’s possible and transform population health in the process.

The MUSC MHA Program exceeded all of my expectations. Regardless of the area of health administration someone chooses to pursue, this program provides a challenging and enjoyable environment that prepares students to begin their professional careers.

The PT faculty are incredible. They made the transition from student to clinician feel natural. They challenge my ability to clinically reason when seeing patients in the CARES clinic so that I’ll be confident treating my own patients one day.

Connor Champine, DPT Class of 2020

The first time I met the AFN faculty they welcomed me with open arms. I knew they were invested in me and would be able to teach me, lead me, and mold me into a successful CRNA.

As a full-time ICU nurse, the online Master of Science in Health Informatics program was a great option for me. The small class sizes, along with the on-campus sessions, help to establish real relationships with my professors and my classmates.

The reputation and beautiful city of Charleston are what drew me to the MUSC Physician Assistant program, but the caring faculty and endless opportunities to learn and grow are what kept me here. It’s been an incredible journey becoming a PA at MUSC.
