The College of Health Professions Student Services Team supports applicants and students from admission to graduation. Each student is paired with a coordinator who assists with admissions, connects them to campus resources, and supports their program’s admissions committee and academic journey.
The Student Services Team supports each student’s continued enrollment and academic progress by managing course registration, processing drop/add forms, maintaining student records, and auditing transcripts at the end of each term. The team also plans and implements major student events, including new student orientation, White Coat ceremonies, graduation, and other milestone celebrations. Additional services and resources available to CHP students are outlined below.

The College of Health Professions is fully committed to complying with all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and its amendments (the “ADA”) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (“Section 504”) and to providing equal educational opportunities to otherwise qualified students with disabilities.
Students are highly encouraged to submit all the required documentation prior to the start of your program to allow ample time for processing and review. The initial requests for accommodations will adhere to the specific accommodations as they relate to the didactic phase of your program. For students enrolled in a program with a clinical component, it’s imperative to know that students will be required to re-submit supporting documentation if you anticipate requesting accommodations as it relates to working in your clinical settings.
Each program in the College of Health Professions may determine their own set of minimum abilities above those established by the University. Please contact the director of your program if you have any questions or concerns about the minimum abilities determined by a specific program.

The College of Health Professions (CHP) offers several scholarship opportunities for currently enrolled students. Students may be eligible to apply for these scholarships after beginning their program. Visit the MUSC Office of Student Financial Aid website for more information.
Each year the College of Health Professions awards numerous merit-based scholarships to applicants who demonstrate exceptional accomplishment and intellectual promise. Scholarships honor students with high academic standing, volunteer experience, financial need, and those who exhibit exceptional leadership roles within the college and the community. Scholarships are awarded two times a year in the fall and spring semesters. All currently enrolled students within CHP will be notified before the start of each semester when the scholarship applications open in SOARS.
SOARS is MUSC’s centralized online award management system available to students from all six colleges. SOARS offers students a streamlined approach to applying for scholarships. It simplifies the application process by importing student data directly from the student record, which minimizes the amount of information asked to be provided on the application. Students can view available scholarships for which they are eligible, complete a general and college-specific application that automatically applies them to scholarships, and view and accept scholarship offers.
Please Note: The scholarships listed in SOARS are available for currently enrolled CHP students only. Some scholarships may be open to students enrolled in any CHP program or may be Division specific. Scholarship awards range from approximately $1,000 to $3,000.
For information about scholarship opportunities inside and outside of MUSC, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid or visit the MUSC Scholarships page.
Many professional organizations offer scholarships or scholarship assistance:
The Office of Student Enrichment and Community Outreach (SECO) aims to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for all so that every new generation of CHP students finds community and thrives at MUSC.
