We partner with technical and four-year colleges throughout South Carolina to create opportunities for students interested in pursuing advanced education at MUSC.
The Clemson and MUSC Accelerated Pathway Programs are designed to reduce total student tuition burden and to encourage Clemson’s most talented students to stay in South Carolina. Students interested in learning more about MUSC’s Accelerated Pathways should contact the Clemson Health Professions Advising Office (HPA) at cuhpa@clemson.edu.
3 years at Clemson + 3 years at MUSC programs:
How it works: The MUSC Accelerated Pathway programs are very competitive. Students not accepted into an MUSC pathway program may be encouraged (by MUSC) to apply via the normal process. Students will not have a disadvantage in the normal application process but will complete their baccalaureate at Clemson prior to any transition to MUSC. Interested students should review the timelines posted on the Clemson HPA Office website, then request an advising appointment to discuss MUSC’s programs and the necessary steps to proceed. All students are required to meet with HPA prior to applying for any MUSC program offered through the accelerated pathways program.
The Coastal Carolina and MUSC Accelerated Pathway Programs are designed to reduce total student tuition burden and to encourage Coastal Carolina’s most talented students to stay in South Carolina. Students interested in learning more about MUSC’s Accelerated Pathways should contact Coastal Carolina’s Conway Medical Center College Advising Center.

Start at a South Carolina Technical College and finish at MUSC.
The online Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies program works closely with many of the South Carolina Technical Colleges to develop pre-health professions pathway programs. At some schools you can follow a track in Pre-Med, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Physician Assistant, and Pre-Health Administration. Interested students can also create their own course of study by completing their associate degree or a total of 72 credits, including all general education courses. Completing an associate degree is highly encouraged. Students with an associate degree are still required to have completed 72 credits, including all general education courses.
For more information on the educational programs available at one of the state’s 16 technical colleges, please visit the school’s website.
