Research Centers

The College of Health Professions commitment to advancing research includes administering, housing, and staffing a number of federally-funded research centers led by CHP faculty.

Center for Rehabilitation Research in Neurological Conditions (CRRNC)

Collaborating under the umbrella of the CRRNC our scholars push the boundaries of current knowledge, seek answers to challenging questions, and share discoveries openly. Through collaboration with other researchers – both within MUSC and externally, our focus remains steadfast on the patients who will benefit from our work.

About the CRRNC

Neuro-PRECISE: Center for Advancing Precision Neural Circuit-Based Rehabilitation

The Neuro-PRECISE Center supports researchers advancing precision neurorehabilitation. It drives innovative research to develop next-generation rehabilitation treatments and better understand how targeted therapies promote neuroplasticity. By using emerging technologies and physiological and imaging biomarkers, the Center precisely measures, guides, and improves recovery of neural circuits.

The Center for Health Data Innovation & Impact (CHDI2)

CHDI2 aims to empower MUSC faculty, students, & administrators to transform healthcare through strategic use of secondary data and mixed methods, robust data analysis, applied research, and education.

About CHDI2

The National Center of Neuromodulation for Rehabilitation (NC NM4R)

NC NM4R serves to integrate and develop the new science of neuromodulation with a specific focus on using this knowledge to enhance rehabilitation.

About NC NM4R

The Stroke Recovery Research Center (SRRC)

SRRC is focused on improving the quality of life for stroke survivors through research. We research how changes happen in the brain due to stroke and rehabilitation. This informs how we can create and use new technology and therapy for stroke survivors everywhere.
