There are equipment and software purchases for this program, as well as laptop requirements. Information about program fees can be found in the MUSC Bulletin. Other additional expenses include textbooks.

Yes, this program is designed for working professionals. Most of our students work at least part-time throughout the program.

To determine your eligibility, review the eligibility criteria for admissions. If you would like to have your eligibility reviewed, you can send a copy of your unofficial transcripts to Dr. Gellar at gellar@musc.edu or to Mrs. Barry at barryr@musc.edu. There are no costs associated with this eligibility review.

Yes, students are required to attend an on-campus session once each semester. They take place on the MUSC campus in Charleston, SC. Students are typically required to be on campus for 3 to 4 days.

The program averages 12 credit hours per semester. All coursework is completed in four academic semesters or one and a half years. 

Yes, the faculty member teaching your classes will always help you. Individual and group tutoring sessions are available on campus through the Center for Academic Excellence and the Writing Center at no additional cost to students.
