Cami Meyer

Director of Student Engagement

Cami has been working in higher education for over 25 years and with the College of Health Professions since 2009. Prior to that, she was the Associate Director of Transfer Students at the College of Charleston. Cami’s received her undergraduate degree from Northwood University in Midland, MI, and has her master’s degree in education from the Citadel. Her passion is focused on student-centered activities and making sure all students feel welcome, engaged, and appreciated while they are with us at MUSC. Originally from Michigan, Cami decided to move to Charleston in 1996 in search of some sunshine in her life and feels it was the best decision ever!

Aroo has been part of the College of Health Professions (CHP) since October of 2015, and in her current role since July of 2017. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and has lived in Charleston since 2009. Here at CHP, she is an MUSC Safe Zone Ally, a recruiter for the college with a focus on our bachelor’s program, all of our residential programs (AFN, CVP, DPT, OTD, MHA residential track, PAS and SLP), and she is co-advisor of the CHP student ambassador program. Aroo travels all over SC, NC, GA, and FL to promote and recruit for our programs. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been working from home, hosting a substantial number of virtual information sessions via Zoom. Other than work, she enjoys traveling, LOVES Wonder Woman, and her newest hobby (discovered during this pandemic) cycling downtown!
