Pilot Projects Program
Funds pilot projects advancing tools and methods to understand precision neuromodulation and improve outcomes for people with disabilities.
An NIH funded resource center focused on developing knowledge and diagnostic tools and methods to precisely characterize, modulate, and rehabilitate neural circuits underlying function and recovery.
Neuro-PRECISE is one of six centers (P50HD118628) funded by the NIH Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR) collectively tasked with developing and disseminating techniques, data, theories, research programs, and expertise with the goal of enhancing the capability of medical rehabilitation investigators. The centers seek to understand mechanisms of functional recovery, develop therapeutic strategies, identify clinical care gaps, and improve the lives of people with disabilities.
The Neuro-PRECISE Center aims to serve as a local and national center of excellence by advancing innovation in precision neuromodulation (PN), catalyzing next-generation rehabilitation research, offering national training opportunities in PN, and broadly disseminating research findings.
Funds pilot projects advancing tools and methods to understand precision neuromodulation and improve outcomes for people with disabilities.
Provides expert consultation in precision neuromodulation, study design, technology selection, protocol development, and translational rehabilitation research.
National workshops and training in precision neuromodulation, featuring hands-on methods, webinars, and interdisciplinary programs.
Engages stakeholders and disseminates rehabilitation research, integrating people with lived experience across all center activities.
Team-based research advancing precision neurorehabilitation through innovative tools, methods, and interventions for functional recovery.
