State Licensure Information

The Medical University of South Carolina Cardiovascular Perfusion Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Whereas accreditation applies to educational programs, licensure and certification applies to individuals. Our program prepares students for and makes them eligible to take the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification exam, which is recognized nationally.  Information about the ABCP certification exam can be found on the ABCP website.

In addition, some states have a licensing process, which usually includes a requirement for ABCP certification.
