Disability Services for the MUSC College of Health Professions

Commitment to Students with Disabilities

The College of Health Professions is fully committed to complying with all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and its amendments (the “ADA”) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (“Section 504”) and to providing equal educational opportunities to otherwise qualified students with disabilities.

Students are highly encouraged to submit all the required documentation prior to the start of your program to allow ample time for processing and review. The initial requests for accommodations will adhere to the specific accommodations as they relate to the didactic phase of your program. For students enrolled in a program with a clinical component, it’s imperative to know that students will be required to re-submit supporting documentation if you anticipate requesting accommodations as it relates to working in your clinical settings.

Each program in the College of Health Professions may determine their own set of minimum abilities above those established by the University. Please contact the director of your program if you have any questions or concerns about the minimum abilities determined by a specific program
