Training is a crucial aspect of NC NM4R's offerings, with a range of sessions from introductory to advanced, designed to teach the basic science and application of neuromodulation as it applies to rehabilitation. To further our educational aims, the National Center of Neuromodulation for Rehabilitation will supplement our workshop offerings with regular conferences, webinars, and other events. Some of these events will be presented in person, offering attendees the opportunity for an interactive and collegial learning experience, rich in discussion and networking, while other events will be offered over the Internet in webinar or hybrid format, allowing for maximum participation from remote attendees. When feasible, recordings of the session will be made available on this website for later viewing.

The Introductory Workshop is generally offered in the Fall season of each year, and has proven to be a helpful introduction for new researchers as well as a good overview for those more established in the field. The advanced workshops are in-depth examinations of specific neuromodulatory techniques and how they may be applied to rehab.  Past advanced workshops have covered Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation, Transcranial Electrical Stimulation, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Operant Conditioning of EMG-Evoked Potential, Transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation, Multimodal TMS-EEG-fMRI, Transcranial Focused Ultrasound, Clinical Trials in Neuromodulation for Rehab, TMS Motor Mapping, and more.
