About Our Program
Introducing the Hybrid Occupational Therapy Doctorate program at MUSC

A Student-Centered Approach

MUSC has been educating occupational therapists for nearly 50 years and our faculty are award-winning educators who are leading the profession. From the moment you secure your spot, we’re dedicated to your success and helping you embrace evidence-based practice as you become a knowledgeable, culturally competent occupational therapist. From day one, you’re paired with a dedicated faculty coach who will guide and mentor you through your educational journey. MUSC offers you unique elective opportunities to customize your educational journey and set you apart as a future occupational therapist. You’ll have opportunities to engage in faculty-led research projects, explore advanced clinical topics, or embark on transformative global health trips.

While you're an OTD student at MUSC, learning is your full-time job. You can expect to attend classes online and complete coursework during the day, and you'll need to find time in your schedule to study. Some students may choose to work part-time during the program, but we recommend waiting until after the first semester and fully committing yourself to this transformative learning experience.
