Healthcare Studies New Student Information

Welcome to the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies (HCS) program at MUSC.

Our faculty and staff have been busy preparing for your arrival. We are so excited about the HCS Program and looking forward to you joining us. The information provided on this page and in your CHP Fall Orientation will help you get started in the right direction.

Below you will find important dates to mark on your calendar. In addition, the other details below will provide you some information to review prior to the assignment of your MUSC NetID in June, at which point you will be able to begin the CHP Fall Orientation (online).

It is our hope to be together on-campus for the fall on-campus session. However, the safety of our students, faculty and staff remains priority. As we continue to monitor the COVID 19 pandemic, the University, college, and program will determine if the fall session will be held in-person or virtually. Details will be provided by the program prior to the start of the semester. During these sessions we will review program policies, discuss strategies for success and make sure everyone is starting off on the right foot in each course. All future on-campus sessions have been assigned dates that can be reviewed in the curriculum schedule in your admissions packet.

Until then, I wish you the best as you begin your studies here at MUSC. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Lauren Gellar, Ph.D.
Associate Professor and Division Director
Division of Healthcare Studies
