M.S. in Health Informatics (Spring Start) New Student Information

We are pleased that you will be joining our incoming students this spring in the Master of Science in Health Informatics program. We want to welcome you to the Department of Healthcare Leadership & Management at MUSC. The faculty and staff have been busy preparing for your arrival.

Please let me explain a little about the format of our program and course work. The program is lockstep in nature (meaning courses are taken in a prescribed sequence). Full-time students take three courses per semester; part-time students take two. The program is designed for working healthcare and IT professionals and most students will complete the program on a full-time basis.

Your classes will begin online on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. The Virtual MSHI Welcome Session will be held on January 11 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom while other new student orientation information will be distributed via email. The Spring 2024 in-person on-campus course sessions will be held on February 1, 2024 through Sunday, February 4, 2024. Please refer to your plan of study to see which courses you will be enrolled.

I wish you the best as you begin your studies here at MUSC. We look forward to meeting you online on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Abby Kazley

Sincerely,
Abby Kazley, Ph.D.
Professor and MSHI Division Director
